The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre has been implementing the Opera Trainee Program since 2013. Young opera soloists, selected during auditions, become soloists of the theatre for the entire season, and have an exclusive opportunity to work with famous singing teachers, directors, conductors. With their help, they are preparing roles for the theatre stage, participating in performances, and gaining experience. Every spring, future stars of opera are shining in their own unique concert.
In the 2024–2025 season, four young soloists participated in the theatre's Opera Trainee Program – Ugnė Matukaitytė, Skirmantė Vaičiūtė, Regimantas Gabšys and Mindaugas Tomas Miškinis; our audience has already seen them in LNOBT’s productions and concerts. “Promise of the Stage” is like a vision of the bright future, and the program of this concert includes some of the most beautiful opera arias and wonderful songs. The soloists will be accompanied by LNOBT’s concertmaster Lina Giedraitytė.
