Edvinas Jakonis

BIOGRAPHY

In 2010–2019 Edvinas Jakonis studied at the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts, and in 2018–2020 at the Ballett-Akademie Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.

The dancer participated and won awards in many competitions: International Baltic Ballet Competition (2012, 1st place), Youth America Grand Prix, NYC Finals (2018, 3rd place), International Nordic Ballet Competition (2016, 2nd place), Le Jeune Ballet Méditerranéen (2016, 2nd place), – International Baltic Ballet Competition (2018, 1st place), International Tallinn Ballet Competition (2018, 2nd place). He was also bestowed the Little St. Christopher Award (2017), Jadvyga Jovaišaitė-Oleknienė Prize (2018), Deutschland Stipendium (2019–2020).

E. Jakonis has been dancing at LNOBT since 2020, was a soloist with the English National Ballet from 2023 to 2025, and has been a leading soloist of LNOBT’s ballet company since 2025.
