Der Prozess is ballet set after F. Kafka’s novel – it speaks to us about the preservation of hope, ray of love, and light within the system of bureaucratic absurd. It is the first full length ballet created by choreographer Martynas Rimeikis, featuring music by Mindaugas Urbaitis, as well as cold and stark concrete sets by Marijus Jacovskis that include a monumental guillotine, allowing the audience to experience the tragic confrontation between an individual and official system even stronger. Having turned into an astonishing sensation right after its premiere, Der Prozess received the Event of the Year award from the LNOBT and two Golden Cross of the Stage awards for best choreography and best music. It was also the first Lithuanian theatre production streamed on the Mezzo channel.
